First DSLR I've owned after trading up from a Panasonic DMC FZ30 and before that a couple of digital Kodaks going back to a Pentax ME Super and K1000. And I have to say the Pentax K20D is the best camera I have handled in so many ways, build quality, range of functions, image quality, balance handling but let down only by the bundled lens and the under exposure by a stop is a pain...why oh why was it released with what is a clear problem.But at least it can be fixed at the next software release, maybe,, and the shutter is so Loud...... I said LOUD!...

This is a much-awaited upgrade of the already very nice K10D. Better image quality, better high ISO handling, even faster AF while keeping the best features of the K10D (like built-in image stabilization). Build quality is very good and all K10D peripherals (like the grip) are compatible. Now that SDM lenses are getting available (although not cheaper) and that we have compatibility with the vast range of Pentax lenses (incl oldish M42 based ones), this makes Pentax even more interesting....

A very fine professional and advanced amateur tool. Will use it for my next up and coming shoot for Harpers Bazaar Spain. Can easily do double page spreads in large format magazines. Very clean output and quiet shutter. Improved over the K10D....
