Good:  Competitive performance at a lower cost than the competition; supports DirectX 10.1; easy home theater installation.
Bad:  Faster 3D performance available for just a little more cash; power hog.
Bottomline:  Asuss EAHD4870X2 falls just short of the speed and relative value offered by Nvidias competing high-end 3D card. Unless you have certain very specific needs, youll get better performance and better power efficiency with Nvidia. Price range: $474.99

Good:  Unrivalled FPS results., Performance seems unaffected by resolution changes in most games.
Bad:  After a few hours of use, you can fry and egg on the blanking plates.
Bottomline:  Based on the results over the previous pages its really hard not to fall in love with the 4870X2. Yes it totally lacks in innovation, yes it sucks up power and yes it removes the need for any heating in your home. But for the hardcore gamer or extrem...

Good:  The fastest graphics card money can buy.
Bad:  Uses a lot of power, suffers from the problems common to all SLI/CrossFire solutions.

Good:  Extremely fast; includes HDMI adapter; dual-GPU acceleration works even with multiple monitors
Bad:  Large; some applications dont use the second GPU; fan gets noisy at load
Bottomline:  With two ATI Radeon 4870 chips on a single board, Asus EAH4870X2 currently offers the best 3D performance out of any single-card solution, but youll need a roomy, powerful system to take full advantage. ...

Good:  Cool operating temperatures, adequate performance
Bad:  Blocks access to two extra PCI slots, can be quite loud
Bottomline:  If you want an air-cooled card that provides decent headroom for aftermarket overclocking, ASUS’ EAH4780X2/HTDI/2G is a good choice. Unfortunately, the operating noise and the card’s thickness are deterrents. ...
