  • Abstract:  Designed for car enthusiasts and people with deep pockets, this one from Asus is another piece of art but this time in the form of a laptop. For starters, the notebook is extremely sleek and looks blazingly hot. It comes in a racing style casing in tr...

  • There is so much to like about the ASUS Lamborghini VX3. Its a feature rich and an extremely good looking notebook thats just about the right size (albeit slightly fat.) Construction quality is also top-notch with no shaky parts. And finally, as you s...

  • Abstract:  There's something about fast cars that conjures up an air of envy. Pair that image with a laptop and you get the Asus Lamborghini VX3. If that bright yellow lid catches your attention, that's because it's painted in the same hue as adorns the lik...

  • Great looks, Well-designed keyboard
  • Expensive, Average performer
  • In terms of specifications, the VX3 is loaded. It has an Intel C2D T9300 processor, 4GB of system memory, an Nvidia 9300M chipset, and a 320GB HDD. These specs lead to a pretty healthy figure of 5321 under PCMark05. We peaked at 5640 but that seemed to...

  • Abstract:  So the VX3 isn\'t perfect, and it\'s not cheap. Obviously, value-conscious buyers should steer clear. However, the system does offer a solid and compact chassis, a great screen, full-sized keys, GeForce graphics, and a couple of battery options. It also looks pretty hot, and more importantly (to those concerned with Lamborghini branding, at least), retains the exclusivity if its namesake..

  • Abstract:  Around a year and a half ago we looked at the and we were pretty enamoured with it. For a start, it gave us some actual justification for the usual TR habit of populating our reviews with more car analogies than a Bugatti Veyron has horsepower. ...

  • Great looks, Lamborghini branding, good performance, good bundle, light & compact, security
  • No firewire port, expensive
  • Being the first of the Penryns based laptops in our testlabs, the VX3 has set quite a benchmark with its T9300 processor (Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.50 GHz) and 3GB of RAM. The laptop is as much performance oriented as its real car version and comes loaded ...

  • Luxurious design, Blazing performance, Separate Power Mode switch
  • Very expensive, Nine-cell battery makes it awkward to carry, Subpar display and sound, Shorter-than-expected battery life
  • The name says it all. The ASUS Lamborghini VX3 is a luxury notebook, offering plenty of style and top-notch performance, thanks to its 2.5-GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and discrete graphics. We recommend it to executives who like to show off on the go—no...

  • Solid construction; leather detailing; cool branded extras.
  • Kind of slow for a laptop named after a race car; expensive; poor battery life.
  • The Asus Lamborghini VX3 is the laptop recast as status symbol. It looks and feels like a luxury item; we just wish it had a bit more power under the hood.
