Very expensive; heavier than it looks; no backlit keyboard; limited ports and connections.
HP's upscale Envy 13 looks and feels like an expensive status symbol, with performance and features that impress us--but its high price makes it a tough sell over the similar-looking MacBook Pro.
Abstract: Comparisons have been made by the nattering nabobs of Appleism that the HP Envy 13 is just a knock-off of the Macbook Pro 13-inch. This is the cowards way out and I shan’t stand for it. I will look at HP’s latest notebook – don’t call it a netbook! – a...

There’s no question that the HP Envy 13 is a stylish and powerful system. It’s a sexy ultraportable that delivers the performance of a much larger machine. Everything from the Envy’s packaging down to the glass display says that this is...

The HP Envy 13 is an all-metallic ultraportable that delivered phenomenal battery scores, but customers may not be ready to spend $1,899 on a laptop....

Abstract: You know what they say about knock offs; they're never quite as good as the original. But HP's Envy 13, which is clearly a rip of the 13-inch MacBook Pro (everything down to packaging screams Apple), comes pretty darn close. It has an über at...
