The editors liked

  • Party play
  • Importing option
  • Sleek design
  • Party Play mode is welcoming and fun
  • All songs available from the start
  • Slick visuals
  • Jamming in the music studio is fun.
  • Cleverly selected and distributed track list
  • great selection of classic tunes
  • surprisingly challenging on Hard and Expert.

The editors didn't like

  • idering that 65 songs at $60 is actually quite a steal when considering the price of DLC lately
  • which is not necessarily a bad thing. If you are a fan of this type of music then it is definitely worth it
  • especially considering everything in Guitar Hero...
  • Fewer songs than Guitar Hero 5
  • Limited song downloading and importing functionality
  • Vocalists need controller to activate star power
  • Trimmedout lyrics aren't particularly inappropriate.
  • Fundamentally identical to Guitar Hero 5
  • when the track list stumbles
  • it stumbles badly.
