The editors liked

  • Metallic travel case
  • Lightweight design
  • Amazing sound quality Solid construction Dual drivers
  • Sounds great with both lossless and compressed music
  • Sturdy connections
  • Excellent sounding
  • Included accessory bundle is top notch
  • Removable cable w/ wire lining by earpieces
  • Many available accessories (such as extra ear pieces
  • Cables
  • Etc)
  • Are out to show you a good time. Still
  • They demonstrate a good balance between the frequency ranges that suits almost all types of music
  • Rating
  • More info
  • Ultimate Ears website
  • Superb tonal balance that trades some top end sparkle and overall neutrality for a very musical presentation that will never overwhelm. Cables are a suitable length and thickness. Provide an excellent seal once you are comfortable with them and learn how to properly insert them. Cheap for what they are capable of doing.

The editors didn't like

  • Sub-par graphics
  • No Bass
  • Uncomfortable
  • Low sound
  • Thin cords Expensive price
  • Muddled sound on some tracks at high volume
  • Awkward design
  • They are very expensive for the average consumer to buy. But you get what you pay for and they are a professional level product
  • A little on the large side
  • Ideally need to be worn over the ears
  • Cable management could be easier. Lacking some air on top and some neutrality in the midrange
  • Which might bother listeners looking for the last word in detail reproduction. Slightly fragile.

  • Sounds great with both lossless and compressed music, sturdy connections
  • Muddled sound on some tracks at high volume, awkward design
  • The biggest surprise we got when testing the Super.fi 5 Pros was not that they sounded great (we expected that), but that highly compressed music received the same treatment as lossless tracks. Ultimate Ears also upgraded many design quality issues t...
