The editors liked

  • Easy to navigate UI
  • Voice clarity is quite good
  • Much less expensive than the comparable Netgear device. Makes fairly clear calls. Supports both WEP and WPA security. Easy to use.
  • Lightweight
  • Elegant design
  • Simple layout
  • Good connection quality at full signal strength
  • Interesting concept
  • Can connect to and talk on Skype w/o a computer
  • Charges via standard USB connection
  • Works without a PC

The editors didn't like

  • Bulky uncomfortable design
  • Poor battery life
  • No support for chat or Skype video call
  • Still pricey. On public-access Wi-Fi
  • Works only with the rare
  • Completely open network that requires no browser authentication. Lacks USB-to-PC connectivity. Entering contact info and the like using the phone keypad is cumbersome.
  • Reception falters when signal strength weakens
  • So-so battery life
  • Half-second delay when making phone calls
  • Adjusting volume
  • Changing menus
  • Small screen
  • Not possible to connect to networks that require a web based authentication

  • As with the competing Netgear product, this is a nifty toy for the gadget fiend who has plenty of disposable income and doesnt mind limited connectivity options. Others should save their money....
